DIY: Camera Repair

I’ve been having this problem with some of the pictures I have been taking on my Sony DSC-P200. If I zoom in too much I start to see specks of dust in my pictures. I figured the lens was dirty, so naturally I cleaned it and the specks of dust were still there. After doing a little bit of research, dust inside the camera seemed to be a common problem with this particular model. I checked out Sony’s website and apparently it would cost $181.00 for them to fix my camera. Who wants to pay that much money to fix a point-and-shoot camera? After doing more research I found a guide on taking apart my camera to fix this exact issue. I figured it was worth a shot since the camera was nearly useless if I couldn’t take any decent pictures with it. About 40 minutes later, my pictures are clear again and I was even able to put it back together without any leftover pieces! Sure it was a nerve-wrecking experience but it was well worth it. Now to see if I did any long term damage to it…
