I’m trying to transition my “ToDo” list to a wiki, but it’s just not as convenient as a simple text editor. I like the idea of being able to quickly open a file, edit and save it. With a wiki I have to open my browser, navigate to my wiki, etc. I think it would be cool to have a text editor that allows you to directly edit a page online. That way you only have to enter a URL and your credential information once (if you choose to save it that is). Whenever you open it, just find your file, make your changes and save. The updates would be sent to your wiki.
Anyways, I’m sure this would be a fun project when I have time, but just throwing the idea out there.

It’s possible to do what you’d like to do on PBwiki. I can give you more details if you’d like :-)

What a coincidence! I just so happen to use pbwiki.com for all of my wiki needs!

Nick - Don’t you find a need to update your ToDo realtime while mobile? I use my BlackBerry Tasks with GTD categories that sync to Outlook at home and at work. With this, my ToDo is always on my hip and I have a reasonably fast UI on my home or work computer. I wouldn’t say this is a perfect system — requires cable syncs, can’t get full UI except at Windows boxes at home and work, BB qwerty slower than paper sometimes — but it is the best I’ve found so far.

Often I’ll set aside some time to review my todo list to plan my day and check off things that I have already completed instead of checking it off while mobile. However, if I had a blackberry, I would definitely be using some sort of mobile system. Instead I find storing my list on the internet is just as good…provided I have an internet connection.
